Reported by Collider · October 19, 2026
A new Reacher investigation
Chain Reaction is the next novel in the Jack Reacher series, written by Lee Child and Andrew Child. It follows last year’s Exit Strategy and is scheduled for release tomorrow.
The story centers on a murder and an investigation involving the Pentagon and a remote Colorado town. Reacher is drawn into a case where the situation is not as it first appears.
Turner seeks Reacher’s help
Turner turns to him because she believes he has an unbreakable moral code. She is a recurring figure in the Reacher novels.
Turner’s screen history
Turner also appeared in the 2016 Tom Cruise film Never Go Back. Cobie Smulders played the character in that adaptation. The new book reunites Turner and Reacher in a case that reaches from the Pentagon to a remote Colorado town.
