Iran War Updates: Deadly Houthi attacks keep Saudi airport closed as Trump considers U.S. strikes in Yemen

A week of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia’s main airport has killed at least 20 people, including a U.S. citizen. The violence has also contributed to rising oil prices.
President Trump is considering whether the United States should join the Saudi-led campaign against the Houthis in Yemen, which has become a central front in the wider Middle East war.
Tensions continue around the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. military said it disabled a cargo ship after its crew failed to heed warnings and tried to pass through a naval blockade of Iranian ports and vessels.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it had hit three oil tankers in the strait over two days, alleging they violated its navigation restrictions. A regional maritime monitoring center reported no vessel attacks on Monday, but said projectiles struck at least two ships the previous day.
Iran also denied involvement in a security incident at Britain’s RAF Fairford air base. The U.K. prime minister had said the event was likely directed by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, and the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada and 23 other countries condemned Iranian hostile activity abroad.
