Isaiah Adams Returns as Cardinals Activate Injured Reserve Starter for Seahawks Road Game

Adams Returns to the Lineup

Adams had his 21-day practice window opened this week and is now set to return for the Seahawks game. His expected start at right guard comes as the Cardinals’ offensive line continues to contend with health problems.

Arizona is also without left tackle Jayden Williams, while Jon Gaines II is out this week. Adams has not been especially impressive in past appearances, but his return gives the team another option inside.

Two Players Elevated

The Cardinals elevated tight end Shawn Bowman and running back Jerome Ford from the practice squad for Week 9. Bowman is expected to serve as Arizona’s fourth tight end.

Ford will back up Tyler Allgeier and Evan Hull in the running back group. The roster moves come as quarterback Gardner Minshew takes over as the starter.

A Difficult Seattle Matchup

Arizona is seeking to regain its offensive rhythm amid changes to the lineup. Head coach Mike LaFleur urged the team to focus on its preparation and the challenge ahead.

LaFleur described Seattle as a strong opponent playing in a hostile environment. Minshew also called the matchup a challenge, saying the Seahawks have many ways to pressure an opponent.

The Cardinals have not beaten Seattle in their last ten attempts. The Seahawks’ 31-7 win over Arizona in Week 2 remains the teams’ most recent meeting.
