2027 Karma Gyesera: Stylish Curiosity Tries to Break Free of Fisker Roots

A new chapter for Karma
The Gyesera takes the place of the Revero, a model descended from the original Fisker Karma. That sedan launched in 2011 under Henrik Fisker’s startup, which failed in 2014.
After Chinese automotive parts group Wanxiang bought the company’s assets, the car returned as the Karma Revero. Production began in 2016, but the California-based company has struggled to establish itself. Karma first showed the Gyesera in 2024 as a fully electric vehicle, then changed its plans when it concluded the luxury market was not shifting to EVs quickly enough.
Plug-in hybrid power and range
Rather than the proposed 590-horsepower electric setup, the Gyesera uses the fifth generation of Karma’s plug-in hybrid system. A turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine from the BMW i8 charges a 28-kWh battery; it does not drive the wheels. Two electric motors power the rear axle.
Karma lists output at 566 horsepower and 594 pound-feet of torque. The company claims a 3.7-second run from zero to 60 mph and a top speed of 150 mph, compared with the Revero’s 4.5 seconds and 125 mph. Claimed electric-only range is 80 miles, with 360 miles of total gasoline range.
Familiar shape, revised details
The Gyesera keeps the long hood, tapered roof and muscular rear proportions associated with the original Karma. Its body combines aluminum and carbon fiber, while its chassis develops the aluminum spaceframe used in earlier models.
Karma sharpened the front design with a line beneath the headlights and a carbon-fiber-framed lower air intake. The company calls a hood indentation the Comet Line; it also directs hot air out of the engine bay. Wheel choices include two 21-inch forged aluminum designs and a 22-inch option.
A refreshed cabin
The dashboard now has rectangular air vents concealed within a black trim section, replacing the Revero’s four circular vents. A repositioned 10.1-inch screen sits alongside a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.
The center screen handles most functions and supports wireless phone mirroring. A wireless charger and USB-C ports are tucked inside the armrest. The steering wheel and pyramid-shaped push-button gear selector carry over from the Revero.
