Meta introduces Spaces to help users collaborate with Muse agent on projects | TechCrunch

Project-focused conversations
Spaces appear in the sidebar of the interface used to interact with Muse. Each one centers on a topic or goal, giving users a dedicated conversation for work they want the agent to help with.
A user could create a space for planning a vacation or gathering recipes for a family event. Meta also lists holiday gift tracking, wedding planning and DIY projects as possible uses. Meta says users can describe an idea in chat, after which Muse can build a tracker, planner or project board. The company calls Spaces “custom experiences.”
Connected apps update spaces
Meta says Spaces can connect with third-party apps and information. The company says these connections can refresh details in the background. Meta gave concert dates, price changes and savings progress as examples of information that could appear without users having to ask.
More features for Muse
On Friday, Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted about Spaces on X. He said he had made a BBQ game, an event tracker and a home control dashboard while trying the feature.
Spaces is the second new Muse feature Meta announced over the past week. On Thursday, the company introduced Muse Voice, which lets users video chat with an agent and give verbal commands.
Zuckerberg said during Meta’s October earnings call that Muse agents had 10 million users in the U.S. and Canada, less than two months after their debut. Meta is also competing with other cartoon-styled AI agents, including OpenAI’s dots and SpaceXAI’s Grokbot.
