Inside Maxx Royal Bodrum: How the Resort Reimagines a Mediterranean Escape

A new Bodrum destination
Bodrum is gaining popularity as a vacation spot on Turkey’s southwestern coast. Its beaches, waterfront restaurants and yacht-filled marinas offer an alternative to the French and Italian Rivieras.
Design shaped by the coast
Turkish architect Mahmut Anlar contributed to the resort’s design, which uses stone, wood and other natural materials to suit the coastal setting. The Island Villas draw inspiration from traditional stone houses in Bodrum.
A villa for larger stays
The five-bedroom Presidential Hill Villa includes a heated seawater pool, fitness room, sauna and private butler’s room. Its facilities offer a more expansive option for guests traveling together.
Restaurants and family activities
Recent additions include Leña, a steakhouse by Spanish chef Dani García, and Safraan, which serves seafood and Mediterranean-inspired small plates. Seavore offers updated versions of traditional Turkish dishes, while the ice cream parlor features flavors such as Turkish pistachio and Bodrum tangerine.
At Maxxi Land, children can join activities arranged by age group, including arts and crafts, games and film screenings. Outside the resort, guests can take boat excursions or visit nearby historical destinations, including the ancient city of Ephesus.
