More than 700 pages: kpop demon hunters officially returns in deluxe comic release, available now

A two-book edition
Penguin Random House’s Deluxe Screen Comic turns the film into a full-color comic collection spanning more than 700 pages. The double-book set includes lyrics from the complete soundtrack.
It also comes with a holographic foil slipcase and two foldout posters featuring HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys. The books’ spines depict Rumi’s two natures.
Film art in print
The comic uses artwork taken directly from the movie, bringing its animation into a page-by-page format. Its panel gutters also contribute to the presentation, with black borders around action scenes underscoring the story’s darker moments.
The format changes how the songs unfold. “How It’s Done” spans 37 pages, pairing each lyric with a different frame, while the climactic “What It Sounds Like” also receives a visual treatment in the book.
A slower way to revisit
The lyric pages offer room to take in the film’s individual images, including the moment HUNTR/X’s costumes turn brilliant white against black gutters. But the extended song sequences can slow the story compared with watching the movie.
KPop Demon Hunters 2 is in development, and the comic offers fans another way to spend time with the characters in the meantime. The first film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Film.
