Netflix’s The Diplomat Officially Leaves the U.S. Top 10 After Season 4

A strong start for season four
Season four released all eight episodes at once on October 15 and quickly rose on Netflix charts in the United States and worldwide. The series had maintained an annual schedule for new seasons.
The U.S. chart drop
FlixPatrol data showed the series had dropped off Netflix’s U.S. Top 10 TV Shows chart by the time of writing. Its last day on the list was November 2, when it ranked 10th. The chart then featured WWE’s Raw at the top, along with The One About Matthew Perry, Nobody Wants This and Love Is Blind.
Still popular overseas
Although it no longer appeared in the U.S. Top 10, The Diplomat was trending in 16 countries, according to FlixPatrol. Its highest position was sixth in Australia. The series also appeared in the Top 10 in Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Netflix data placed it fourth worldwide for the week of October 26 to November 1, marking its third week in the global Top 10.
Fifth season confirmed
Netflix officially announced that The Diplomat will return for season five. The U.S. chart drop came less than a month after season four’s release, despite the show’s popularity on the service.
Season four spent two weeks in the U.S. Top 10, fewer than season three’s three weeks, season two’s four weeks and season one’s five weeks.
