Father calls for help
Giamanco was driving past Silver Rail Elementary School when he saw the shooting begin. His two daughters were inside the school and survived the attack. An approximately 80-second recording of his 911 call was released Tuesday. It documents the confusion as the emergency unfolded.

After Giamanco explained the situation, the dispatcher asked him what had happened, requested his phone number and asked whether he knew the shooter. Giamanco responded with an urgent report that people were being shot. The dispatcher told him that help was on the way and asked him to explain what was happening.
How he confronted gunman
