Washington state shooting leaves 3 dead, including suspect; 2 deputies critically injured

Deputies respond to home
Spokane County deputies went to a home around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after a woman told a neighbor that her brother had shot her, Sheriff John Nowels said. The county borders Idaho.
Officials said the suspect had an active felony warrant and there might be additional victims. SWAT team members and deputies tried to enter the home and encountered gunfire, Nowels said.
Gunfire leaves deputies wounded
Two deputies were critically injured by the gunfire, the sheriff’s office said. Other deputies fired back while trying to move their wounded colleagues to safety. Both injured deputies, whom Nowels described as young SWAT team members, were taken to a hospital. Nowels said they have very young children, according to CBS affiliate KREM-TV.
Three people found dead
Responders found one person dead inside the home and another in the yard, Nowels said. The suspect also died. Authorities have not released the names of the victims or the suspect.
