Elder Scrolls VI officially gets the name Sentinel, but Bethesda shares little else

Bethesda reveals the title
Bethesda announced that the next game in its Elder Scrolls series will be called The Elder Scrolls VI Sentinel. Todd Howard, the studio’s chief, shared the name in a video celebrating 40 years of Bethesda game studios.
The reveal comes more than eight years after Bethesda first announced that a sixth Elder Scrolls game was in development. Howard described the moment as the “perfect time” to give the game its full name.
Few details accompany announcement
Bethesda did not release additional information about The Elder Scrolls VI Sentinel alongside the title. The Xbox Wire press release consisted of an image of the game’s logo. A report published last week said Bethesda planned to name the game in November, around 15 years after The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released.
Setting and story reported
Sentinel is reported to be set in Hammerfell, a province in the Elder Scrolls universe that has featured in The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and The Elder Scrolls Online. The game is also reported to focus on Elder Scrolls history and reveal secrets surrounding ancient artifacts. Bethesda’s announcement did not provide further confirmation or detail about those elements.
