After five Daytime Emmys, Kelly Clarkson reflects on an incredible talk show run and its haul

Emmys mark the show’s run

The Kelly Clarkson Show’s crew attended the 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards on Oct. 30, two months after the NBC program ended. The show earned five awards from 11 nominations, including Outstanding Daytime Talk Series. Clarkson shared an Instagram post featuring the production team with its awards. She congratulated the winners and described the show’s seven years as “incredible.”

Why Clarkson chose to leave

Page Six reported in January that Clarkson planned to leave the NBC show, and she confirmed the decision the following month. She said it had not been easy, while thanking fans who supported the program since its 2019 premiere and NBC for being a supportive partner.

Family was central to farewell

The show’s final episode aired Sept. 1, with River and Remington joining Clarkson. She said her children had been a major reason she made the program, including for its stability and schedule, and also a reason to say goodbye.

A source told Page Six in August that Clarkson had worked to support the children as they navigated their loss. The source said her focus was helping them feel loved and stable while allowing them space to grieve.

Return to The Voice

In May, Clarkson announced she would return to The Voice for its 30th season. When the season premiered on Sept. 21, she appeared as a coach alongside Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Riley Green.
