Frozen 3 is the next major animated sequel on Disney’s schedule, following the releases of Toy Story 5 and Zootopia 2. The film brings Anna, Elsa and Olaf back to the big screen, with its arrival now just over a year away.
At D23 in August, Disney shared several details about the story. Anna and Kristoff are preparing for their wedding and planning a honeymoon, while Olaf has a snowy girlfriend named Samantha.
A new threat emerges
The sisters’ plans for a happy future face a possible obstacle: a new witch dressed in black. The character is expected to stand in the way of Anna and Elsa’s hopes in Arendelle. Songs take shape
Jared Bush, head of Disney Animation, discussed the film’s progress with Collider’s Steve Weintraub at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. Bush also addressed the sequel’s music and Frozen 4.
Bush said Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Bobby Lopez were working on one of Frozen 3’s most emotional songs. He said they were about five songs into their work.
