Knight, Seven Kingdoms and Game of Thrones Stars Team Up for 2027 Holiday Movie

Ansell joins Naughty cast

Deadline reported that Ansell has joined Naughty, alongside cast additions Kate O’Flynn and Jamie Demetriou. Dinklage and Aniston had previously been announced for the Universal movie. The cast also includes Samara Weaving, Chase Sui Wonders, Ike Barinholtz, Regina Hall, Kate Berlant and John Early. The film is directed by Olivia Wilde, with a script by Jimmy Warden.

A holiday comedy premise

Dinklage plays Santa Claus in the film. Aniston’s character, Mallory, must find him so he can testify at her divorce hearing and help her seek custody of her son from her gaslighting husband.

No character details have been disclosed for Ansell, O’Flynn or Demetriou. The story places the actors in a comedy rather than the fantasy worlds associated with their recent work.

Actors share a past film

Ansell and Dinklage previously appeared in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Ansell played a young Coriolanus Snow, while Dinklage portrayed Dean Casca Highbottom. They did not share scenes in that film. Naughty could be the first movie in which the pair appear together in a scene.

Release date and competition

Naughty is set for a theatrical release on November 5, 2027. That date coincides with the start of a wide theatrical release for Netflix’s Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory, which is scheduled to arrive on the streaming service on December 22.

The animated film features Taika Waititi voicing Willy Wonka and Kit Connor as Charlie Paley. Its story follows Wonka’s return to his factory after imprisonment and his clash with Charlie and the teenager’s friends.
