Deadspin: Isaac Brown leads Louisville away from Stanford with three scoring runs

Louisville builds its offense
Tre Richardson had a career-best 10 catches for 140 yards. Louisville outgained Stanford 545-351, producing its highest yardage total against an FBS opponent this season.
Stanford keeps pace early
Stanford took two second-quarter leads and capitalized on Louisville’s defensive struggles. Davis Warren threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns on 23-of-37 passing, with one interception. Warren connected for scores of 41, 75 and 40 yards as the Cardinal found openings in Louisville’s secondary. Louisville also failed on a first-quarter fake field goal, and a botched snap on the next drive gave Stanford a 48-yard Emmet Kenney field goal.
Turnovers shift the game
Stanford was seeking a possible tying score late in the third quarter when a hook-and-lateral went wrong. Louisville defensive back Tayon Holloway recovered the fumble and ran it back 31 yards, putting the Cardinals ahead 38-24 with 3:34 remaining in the quarter.
Jabari Mack intercepted Warren on Stanford’s next possession. Brown then scored on a 23-yard run with 27 seconds left in the third, followed by a 75-yard touchdown run with 10:01 remaining in the game.
