GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 Leave PlayStation Plus on November 17, Making It Officially a Dark Day

Eleven games depart in November

PlayStation Plus subscribers will lose access to 11 games on November 17. The service lets members play a broad selection of titles without buying each one separately, and it is also required for multiplayer in many games.

The article identifies Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Football Manager 26 among the notable departures. It does not provide the full list of games leaving.

Major Rockstar titles leave

Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are described as the biggest losses. The article suggests Grand Theft Auto V may be leaving as Rockstar and its publisher turn attention toward Grand Theft Auto VI, but it does not confirm that explanation.

Red Dead Redemption 2 follows Arthur Morgan’s journey in the Old West. The article says its play style may appeal to players who enjoy Grand Theft Auto, but gives no confirmed reason for its removal.

Football Manager departure unclear

Football Manager 26 is also set to leave the service, with no stated explanation. The article suggests its agreement with PlayStation Plus may simply be ending, noting that the game was released in November of the previous year. Football Manager 27 is expected soon, but the article says it is not known to be joining PlayStation Plus.

A busy month for PlayStation

November is expected to be significant for PlayStation because Grand Theft Auto VI is approaching. The PlayStation 5 is the game’s official partner hardware, according to the article. The article also mentions rumors about pre-orders, but does not establish whether they are accurate.
