Bengals Bring Back Uniform Combo, Snapping Drought for Ring of Honor Game

A return for Ring of Honor

Cincinnati’s uniform choice for Sunday’s Titans game is one of the team’s most successful combinations. The Bengals will pair black jerseys and socks with white pants and orange stripes.

At halftime, James Brooks and the late Bob Trumpy will be inducted into the Ring of Honor. Trumpy’s induction falls one day before the first anniversary of his death on Nov. 2, 2025, at age 80.

A rare uniform combination

Cincinnati is 4-2 in the six previous games that count as official appearances. The most recent was the 2023 season finale against the Browns, leaving the combination among the team’s longest gaps since its uniforms were introduced in 2021.

Black jerseys and socks

The game will be only the Bengals’ second appearance in black jerseys this season. Their previous one came in Week 4 against Jacksonville. It will also be the third time they have worn black socks this season. Cincinnati is 2-0 in games with black socks this year and 8-2 over its last 10 such games, dating back to a Week 6 Monday Night Football win over the New York Giants in 2024.

Key points

  • The Bengals will wear the combination Sunday against Tennessee.
  • James Brooks and Bob Trumpy will enter the Ring of Honor at halftime.
  • The team has a 4-2 record in six official appearances with the combination.
  • Cincinnati is 2-0 this season in games wearing black socks.
