Rubio calls on Cubans seeking

Rubio’s appeal to Cubans
In a message posted Friday on X, Rubio said it was time for Cubans seeking positive change to act. He pointed to failed promises, corruption and the privileged lives of a few, and urged people to pursue change through a discreet partnership with the CIA.
The agency soon reposted his message and issued a similar appeal in Spanish. A video accompanying the post showed steps for contacting the intelligence agency.
Sanctions and daily hardships
The U.S. embargo and sanctions aimed at pressuring Cuba’s communist government have contributed to sharp increases in the prices of basic goods and reduced access to medical care, the report said.
Cubans have described waiting for hours in bread lines, while others have reported lining up to see a doctor. Last week, the U.S. government announced new economic sanctions against Cuba’s state-run bank, citing alleged ties to Iran.
Trump comments on Cuba
At a campaign rally in South Florida on Friday, President Trump said the U.S. would address Cuba after returning from Iran. He referred to U.S. Navy warships deployed near the Strait of Hormuz. Trump also described a ship stopping close to Cuba’s coast and said Rubio would be sent to “finish up the deal.”
Cuba rejects U.S. threats
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla rejected what he called threats tied to U.S. ambitions toward Cuba in a Friday post on X. He said the country’s shores include beautiful beaches but are also rugged and inhospitable to those arriving with hostile intentions and a desire for domination.
