Inside Gabby Thomas’s Elevated Austin Bachelorette Weekend: An Olympian’s Last Rodeo Focused on Friendship

A Western welcome in Austin
Thomas’s bachelorette celebration, called Gabby’s Last Rodeo, brought her friends together before she marries Spencer McManes. The four-time gold medalist described the weekend’s look as an elevated Western vibe, with warm browns and creams and a touch of Western charm.
The first evening began with a welcome event co-hosted by pajama brand Revelry and design company Minted. Guests had access to a spritz bar, an oyster bar, and a glam station before a Golden Hour-themed dinner.
A surprise onstage appearance
After dinner, the group visited Devil May Care and Mayfair, two of Thomas’s favorite Austin spots. Leon Thomas was performing at Mayfair and brought her onstage. Gabby Thomas said the moment was a great surprise and that Leon Thomas was one of her favorite artists.
Time together on the water
The next day began at a relaxed pace before the group headed out for a boat day. After returning to their Airbnb, they shared a hibachi dinner and played games.
Thomas said the gathering was focused on relaxing and spending time together. She credited her maid of honor and Minted with helping make the weekend turn out as she wanted.
