Liam Neeson Military Thriller Officially Debuts on Streaming After $1.1 Million Run

A mission in Iran
The action thriller follows a CIA agent portrayed by Zachary Levi, who travels to Iran to retrieve money his mentor hid decades earlier during the hostage crisis. Liam Neeson also appears in the film.
The search takes a turn when women approach the agent, seeking a way out of their oppressive reality. The film has now debuted on the PVOD market after also receiving a theatrical release.
Box office and reviews
The movie earned $1.1 million during its theatrical run. That was less than the $3 million brought in by Levi’s current theatrical release, the Western drama Angel and the Badman.
Released in September, the thriller received poor reviews and has a 16% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics pointed to its release timing, which coincided with the Iran War.
A different Iran thriller
The Iran hostage crisis also provided the setting for Ben Affleck’s 2012 film Argo. Made on a reported $44 million budget, it earned more than $230 million worldwide. Argo won the Academy Award for Best Picture, contrasting with the reception and box-office performance reported for Levi’s thriller.
