Six Palestinians killed in Israeli drone attacks across Gaza despite ceasefire, as UNICEF warns of child toll

Strikes reported across Gaza
A drone strike near al-Faluja cemetery, west of Jabalia, killed one Palestinian man and wounded several others, Wafa reported, citing medical sources. The attack struck a group of civilians.
In Gaza City’s Tuffah neighbourhood, two people were killed and others wounded, staff at al-Shifa Hospital said. Witnesses told Al Jazeera that those hit were returning from the burial of someone killed in an earlier attack.
In Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital staff reported one death and one injury. Separately, the Ministry of Health recorded six deaths and 43 injuries across the Strip over the preceding 48 hours.
Children face continuing risks
UNICEF, the United Nations children’s agency, highlighted the continuing toll on children on Friday. It reported that more than 340 children had been killed since the ceasefire began a year ago.
The agency also said seven children had died in attacks during the previous two weeks. At least 33 more children were seriously injured over that period.
Restrictions add to pressure
The latest violence comes as Gaza’s population faces increasing restrictions on where people can live. The reported attacks took place in several parts of the Strip despite the year-old ceasefire.
