Want Apple’s folding iPhone? Patience may be needed as Duo deliveries slip
New orders face long waits
Expected shipment dates for newly ordered iPhone Duos have moved to January 25, 2027. The later date applies to every available carrier, color, and storage size. People who ordered during the preorder launch early Friday are scheduled to receive shipments starting as soon as October 23. Buyers seeking the phone sooner may try to find stock at an Apple store on launch day by lining up early.
Prices vary by storage
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for the version with 256 GB of storage. The model with 2 TB costs $3,199. The product is Apple’s foldable phone, and its prices span those two storage options.
Demand and supply constraints
High early demand is one factor behind the longer delivery estimates, though extended shipping times are not unusual for new Apple products. Bloomberg previously reported that Apple was also dealing with “limited” supply because of supply chain constraints.
During Apple’s third-quarter earnings call in July, then-CEO Tim Cook discussed constraints affecting the company’s broader product lineup. He said the company expected strong demand in the September quarter but anticipated a greater effect from supply limits as supply-chain flexibility declined.
