Several injured in fresh attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport

Saudi authorities said several people were hurt in an attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Reuters reported that an eyewitness saw more than a dozen ambulances arrive.
Some Gulf airlines cancelled services to and from Riyadh. Kuwait Airways referred to the security situation, while a medical source told AFP that doctors had been asked to go to hospitals.
The suspected strike comes as fighting intensifies between Yemen’s Saudi-backed government forces and the Houthis, who control much of the country’s north-west. The conflict escalated after Houthi forces took important areas along the Red Sea coast.
A Saudi-led coalition entered the Yemen conflict in 2015 to prevent the Houthis from taking power from the internationally recognised government. The article did not report who carried out the latest attack or what would happen next.
