Three men jailed for raping teenage girl before fleeing UK in back of lorry

Three men and a 17-year-old boy have been sentenced for raping a girl, aged 17, after drawing her to Bristol. The men received detention terms totalling 33 years.
The girl first met Safi during a shopping trip in November 2025. Four days later, Safi and Habibkheil arranged for a taxi to bring her from Somerset to Bristol. She was taken to a house and raped over several hours.
Court heard that the four offenders raped the girl five times. As police arrived, the three adult men fled and eventually crossed the Channel concealed in a lorry carrying frozen goods.
The victim said the assault had changed her life: she no longer felt able to go out alone and had postponed plans to attend college and work with children. The judge said the harm was not excused by the defendants’ personal circumstances.
Safi and Habibkheil were also convicted of arranging or facilitating travel for exploitation. The article does not state the individual sentences. A police representative said the crimes reflected individual criminal conduct, not a community or faith.
