Tourette's campaigner John Davidson to watch Scottish Baftas via video link after row over racial slur

Davidson shouted a racial slur during the ceremony, which was broadcast on BBC One with a two-hour delay. The BBC apologised because the word remained in the broadcast and on iPlayer until the next day.
The BBC said Davidson proposed viewing the Scottish ceremony from a separate room with family and friends. He was awarded an MBE in 2019 for raising awareness of Tourette’s.
Davidson said he would continue working to support the Tourette’s community and promote understanding. Bafta thanked him after the February incident and said it would learn from what happened.
The Scottish Baftas feature nominees from I Swear, Dept Q and Dinosaur. The article does not say whether Davidson’s video-link request has been approved.
