Step 1: iPhone or Mac: the Passwords app

Open the Passwords app. It keeps the passwords, passkeys and verification codes you save in one place, on all your Apple devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

Step 2: Android or Chrome: Google Password Manager

Sign in to Chrome with your Google Account. When Chrome offers to save a password, say yes. It can also suggest a strong one for you.

    Step 3: Fix weak passwords

In the Passwords app, tap Security for advice on weak or reused passwords. Google Password Manager warns you about compromised ones.

    Step 4: Protect the manager

Use a strong screen lock or main password, and turn on two-step login for your Apple or Google account.

Good to know: CISA: "When we use a password manager, we only need to remember one strong password — the one for the password manager itself."
