Creators Officially Clarified Avatar: The Last Airbender Spinoff Timeline Before Season 2

A split that sparked theories
Avatar: Seven Havens follows twin Avatars Pavi and Nisha, 225 years after The Legend of Korra. The sisters begin with amnesia and no knowledge of each other, then reconnect while learning from the modern Order of the White Lotus and searching for their missing parents.
By the finale, Pavi leaves with airbender Jae for the Floating Isles, while Nisha remains in Ellora with White Lotus leader Karthik. Their separation, along with concept art that seemed to show them older, prompted viewers to wonder whether season 2 would begin after a substantial time jump.
Creators address the gap
In an interview with TV Insider, executive producer Michael Dante DiMartino said the time between seasons in the story would be “a few weeks maybe,” adding that it would be “nothing crazy.” Sethi also said the producers were leaning toward the approach used in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Speaking to IGN, Sethi clarified that the artwork behind the speculation was concept art, not an image meant to show a time jump. Ethan Spaulding also discussed the timeline and echoed the comparison to The Last Airbender.
A shorter franchise interval
Sethi described time passing within a series as potentially involving travel over weeks or months, while saying the gap was not very large. That leaves room for some passage of time without establishing a major jump between seasons.
The franchise has used different intervals. The Legend of Korra moved ahead three years between seasons 3 and 4, a gap described as an outlier compared with the shorter breaks in earlier seasons and The Last Airbender.
