Season 3 Brings Percy Jackson’s 12 Olympians Together for the First Time on Screen

Season three raises the stakes

The Disney+ series began in December 2023 with an adaptation of The Lightning Thief. Its second season, based on The Sea of Monsters, debuted in December 2025, and season 3 will draw from The Titan’s Curse.

The first episode of the new season is scheduled for November 20, 2026. Kronos, played by Nick Boraine, gathers forces against Olympus, while Percy, portrayed by Walker Scobell, must face a Great Prophecy that may point to him becoming a sinister demigod.

Olympians return and join

Several gods have appeared in earlier seasons. Dionysus, played by Jason Mantzoukas, and Ares, played by Adam Copeland, recur; Hephaestus, Hermes, Poseidon, Hades, Zeus and Athena have also made guest appearances and are set to return.

Newly announced performers include Hunter Smielecki as Apollo, Jennifer Beals as Demeter, Ming-Na Wen as Hera, Dafne Keen as Artemis and Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite. Together with returning gods, they bring the full Olympian group to the series.

A first for the adaptations

The films showed every god of Olympus in the first movie, but they did not bring the gods together as a group. The upcoming season will be the first Percy Jackson adaptation to show all the Olympians together.

The article’s description of the traditional pantheon names 12 deities but lists Demeter and then says the final member may be Dionysus or Demeter. Elsewhere, it identifies Dionysus as a recurring character and Demeter as a newly cast role.
