James Hagens Out as Boston Bruins Place Forward on Injured Reserve, Recall Mikey Eyssimont

Hagens leaves Thursday’s game

Hagens was hurt against Pittsburgh after defenseman Samuel Girard cross-checked him early in the third period. He skated off holding his back and was examined by medical staff on the bench.

He later went into the tunnel and did not return. After the game, coach Marco Sturm said he had not seen Hagens and had no update on his condition.
