A new chapter in 1955

The story takes place before the stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow, which focuses on Henry Creel’s origins and is set in 1959. Filming for the prequel is planned in New Mexico.

Nevada and the supernatural threat

The Duffers tease fresh stories

Matt and Ross Duffer said they had imagined the project for years and called its becoming real “surreal and exhilarating.” They described it as a fresh take with a new setting and new heroes and villains, but said they could not reveal more yet.
