Overseas growth drives Live Nation reports $10.1 billion revenue, a 19% jump from last year

Record quarterly revenue

Live Nation said Thursday that third-quarter revenue reached a record $10.1 billion. The company attributed the results in part to growth in its international business. Operating income totaled $892 million, up 13 percent from last year. The company also reported $3.8 billion in deferred revenue, an 8 percent increase from last year.

Attendance climbs worldwide

Fan attendance increased 19 percent to 61 million people. International attendance rose 29 percent and made up 60 percent of Live Nation’s total fan growth. CEO Michael Rapino said the company expected 180 million fans in attendance through 2026. He said live events offer an experience that cannot be replicated in a world of screens and AI-generated content.

Divisions report revenue

The concerts division generated $8.7 billion in quarterly revenue and about $602.9 million in income. Ticketing reported $870 million in revenue and more than $315 million in operating income.

Sponsorship and advertising brought in nearly $506 million in revenue and more than $350 million in income. Rapino said artists are reaching more fans in more places, with audiences attending in record numbers.
