Charlie Hunnam’s 8-Episode Crime Thriller Officially Sets Prime Video Release Date in Trailer
Two-part Prime Video debut
Criminal will begin streaming on Prime Video with its first four episodes on January 13. The remaining four are set to arrive two weeks later, on January 27.
The two portions have separate titles: “Coward” for Part 1 and “Lawless” for Part 2. The series brings Clarke and Hunnam together as its leads.
Cast revealed in teaser
Prime Video released the show’s first teaser trailer, which features other cast members, including Adria Arjona, known for Andor, and Luke Evans, known for The Hobbit. Garrett Hedlund, of Tulsa King, will have a recurring role. The cast also includes Patrick J. Adams, Michael Mando and Chris Diamantopoulos.
New roles for Clarke, Hunnam
Clarke, best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, has taken on a range of roles since the series. Earlier this year, she appeared with Haley Lu Richardson in Peacock’s Ponies, which was canceled after one season.
Hunnam, an alumnus of Sons of Anarchy, has also entered the spy-thriller genre with Legacy of Spies. He is working on Legends, a meta sequel intended to bring Sons of Anarchy back to life.
