Cupertino Gets Sunday Showcase, Disrupts CBS’s Winning 2026 Programming Scheme; Best Suits Sequel Alternative

A Sunday lineup change

CBS will air a new Cupertino episode at 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, instead of its usual Marshals broadcast. Two repeat episodes from earlier in Cupertino’s first season will follow, including the series premiere and its second episode.

The move shifts the network’s established Sunday pairing: Marshals, the Yellowstone spinoff starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, followed by Tracker, in which Justin Hartley plays Colter Shaw. CBS is using the evening to introduce more viewers to Cupertino.

A legal drama with a modern focus

Cupertino is a legal drama centered on cases arising from today’s changing technology landscape. Its focus gives the series a different angle on the established legal-drama genre, while its characters and cases help ground the subject matter.

The series follows Michael Price, played by Mike Colter, and his new partner Olivia Siffre, played by Rachel Keller. Their cases have been described as modern, interesting and unpredictable.

The creators behind Cupertino

Robert and Michelle King created Cupertino. The husband-and-wife team also worked on The Good Wife and its spinoff, The Good Fight. The show is presented as a potential successor to Suits, while offering its own approach to legal stories. CBS’s special schedule gives the relatively new series a chance to attract a wider audience.
