After user growth, Titan OS raises $46 million to expand its smart TV platform internationally | TechCrunch

Funding and growth plans
Titan OS said the new funding includes debt facilities from funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, alongside support from existing investors Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners. The company raised $58 million last year and has secured $110 million altogether.
The company said it could have avoided fundraising and grown more slowly. Instead, it wants to pursue greater ambitions by forming more partnerships and entering additional markets.
More users and TV partners
Titan OS now reaches 30 million users, compared with 18 million last year. It works as a sales partner for TiVo in some regions and for Tubi in the UK.
Since last year, Sharp, AOC, Vestel and Skyworth have joined its partners. Philips has adopted Titan OS for its 2026 models, replacing Google TV, according to the company.
Revenue from advertising
Titan OS offers TV makers an operating system designed to generate revenue through partnerships with free ad-supported television channels and advertising across different screens. Its wider reach gives the company a larger advertiser footprint and audience engagement data to present to marketers. CFO Hyoungung Kim told TechCrunch that monetizing the company’s own network remains central, while expanded reach can bring in more sales partners and agencies.
Discovery and AI investments
The company plans to work on content discovery, using interface changes, AI and partnerships with more content providers, including FAST channels. SVP of people and marketing Tobias Pfalzgraff said Titan OS does not offer its own content and aims to remain impartial while helping viewers spend less time searching.
Pfalzgraff also said AI is being used to improve ad recommendations and audience segmentation. Titan OS is dominant in Europe and sees opportunities to attract more TV manufacturers, as hardware costs rise and makers look for revenue beyond device sales.
Staff and office expansion
Over the past year, Titan OS increased its workforce to 250 people and opened a London office focused on advertising. It also has offices in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Taipei.
Kim said rising chipset costs amid the AI boom have strengthened manufacturers’ interest in revenue-sharing partnerships. He described TV hardware as a low-profit business that relies on partners such as Titan OS.
