Burton Unveils Nightmare Before Christmas Release Officially Arriving Next Week

A new Loewe collection

Loewe will launch the Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas collection on November 12. The announcement was made on Instagram. The curated range includes bags, accessories, ready-to-wear clothing, scented candles and leather goods. Designs feature Jack Skellington, his dog Zero and the Harlequin Demon. Examples include Jack inside a handbag, spooky snakes emerging from a woven leather bag, and Zero painted on a handbag’s side.

Burton revisits Halloween Town

The partnership is accompanied by a documentary short. It shows Burton sketching and painting Halloween Town’s residents, more than 33 years after the characters first appeared. Burton also discusses how the project began with character sketches and a poem before Disney adapted it as a stop-motion feature. The film premiered in October 1993.

A personal film, no sequel planned

Burton was an executive producer on the original film, while Henry Selick directed it. Burton’s characters and creative influence remain closely associated with the story. Although interest in another film continues, Burton has rejected a sequel or prequel. He has described the movie as important and personal, and is pursuing other projects, including Wednesday season 3, an animated film with Kazuo Ishiguro and a remake of Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.
