Wayfair’s Lighted Birdhouse Gives Backyard Birds a Holiday Chalet
A Cottage for Birds
The wooden birdhouse is styled like a small chalet, offering a decorative touch inspired by holiday-movie cottages. Unlike ornaments made only for display, it is designed to house birds.
It measures 10 inches in both height and width, with an entrance opening that is 1.25 inches across. Ventilation and drainage are built in, and a cleanout panel provides access inside.
Mounting and Setup
A mounting paddle comes with the birdhouse, and no assembly is required. These features make it ready to set up without putting together separate parts. Its design pairs the cottage appearance with practical details for bird residents. The cleanout panel also makes the interior accessible.
Timed Evening Lights
The lights are powered by three AA batteries, which are not included. A built-in timer keeps them lit for six hours before turning them off for the next 18.
The timer allows the chalet to glow in the evening without requiring someone to switch it off outdoors. The light cycle then repeats according to the timer.
