Pokémon Flowing Fists Officially Releasing February 2027, With Mega Lucario Z ex in Focus

Reported release schedule

PokéBeach reports that Mega Evolution—Flowing Fists will arrive Friday, February 5, 2027. Prerelease events are reportedly planned for January 23–31, ahead of the expansion's wider release. The set would be the seventh main English-language expansion in the Mega Evolution series. The Pokémon Company has not formally announced the English release, though details have emerged.

Mega Lucario leads the set

A key card is expected to be Mega Lucario Z ex, first previewed at the Pokémon World Championships in August 2026. Its design draws on Mega Evolutions introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A's Mega Dimension DLC.

The expansion also recalls 2014's XY—Furious Fists, which featured Mega Lucario. Other revealed cards include Mega Absol Z ex, Mega Garchomp Z ex and Sigilyph ex.

Japanese set offers clues

Flowing Fists will be based on Japan's upcoming Aura Seeker set, launching November 27, 2026. Aura Seeker has 78 cards in its main set and about 35 to 40 secret rares, for an estimated total of around 115.

Recent English sets, including Perfect Order, Chaos Rising and Pitch Black, have more closely matched the smaller formats of their Japanese counterparts. It remains unclear whether this approach will continue or help address global shortages by producing more copies of fewer cards.

Anniversary year continues

The reported release follows a year of Pokémon TCG celebrations. September's 30th Celebration expansion brought back classic cards, introduced a Futuristic rare category and included 30 Pikachu cards.

Mega Evolution—Delta Reign is scheduled for November 6, featuring Mega Rayquaza ex and other Mega Evolutions. Flowing Fists would extend that run of releases into early 2027.
