Metro Redux PS5 upgrade: PlayStation Plus subscribers treated to bonus 10/10 masterpiece in November 2026

November’s games are available

PlayStation Plus Essential’s November 2026 lineup includes Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, Monster Train 2 and Dead Island 2. All three games are available now. The lineup follows what the article describes as a weak October offering. Subscribers have another option through the Premium Classics library: Metro Redux, which was added in August.

Metro Redux gets a PS5 upgrade

Metro Redux bundles remastered versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. Publisher Deep Silver has released a substantial upgrade for the collection. The update brings native PS5 and PS5 Pro support, true 4K resolution at 60 frames per second and upscaled 4K at 120 frames per second with PSSR support. It also adds high-resolution textures and DualSense adaptive triggers.

A darker post-apocalyptic setting

Metro 2033 is set in 2033, after an apocalyptic event devastated the world and left survivors sheltering in Moscow’s underground. The series shares a post-apocalyptic setting with Fallout but places greater emphasis on story and takes a darker approach.

The article describes Metro Redux as a highly regarded collection and recommends it to players who have not tried the games. It also notes that Fallout fans may find elements to enjoy.

Next entry due in 2027

Metro 2039 is scheduled to release in February 2027. The article says it recently went hands-on with the game and praised its detail, sound design and carefully placed objects. For Premium subscribers looking for another game before GTA 6 arrives, Metro Redux is presented as an option.
