Inspired by a Fallout meme, Henry Cavill builds 16-bit Mustache Protocol game on Googlebook for a good cause [Video]

A mustache-themed game

Google described the project as part of its holiday-season promotion for the new platform. The company said Cavill used Google Antigravity and other AI tools on an HP Googlebook 14 to turn natural-language prompts into game mechanics.

Tools behind the project

Google said Cavill used Rambler on Googlebook to organize ideas while brainstorming. He also used Magic Pointer to explore visual styles, add accessories and combine design elements on screen. The company said Continue On let him switch between an Android phone and Googlebook without losing context or interrupting his creative work.

Movember donation plans

The game has not launched yet. Google says it will donate $11 for every play during November, with total contributions capped at $500,000, as part of its partnership with Movember. The donation is intended to support awareness and funding for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Videos before launch

Until the game becomes available, viewers can watch a three-part series about its creation. The series covers Cavill’s design of the hero character, meme-inspired superpowers and work on the soundtrack.
