Netflix deal has YouTuber Druski going further to make exclusive content, starting with a December comedy series

A multiyear Netflix partnership
Netflix announced a multiyear agreement with Druski. The YouTuber, comedian, and influencer will develop original content exclusively for the service. Netflix has previously made deals with creators including Mark Rober, Ms. Rachel, and Good Mythical Morning. The Druski partnership continues the company’s push to bring creator-led work to its platform.
First series arrives December 1st
Druski’s first Netflix series will be Collect & Praise, a semi-scripted comedy in which he plays a megachurch pastor. The show is set to debut on December 1st.
The announcement says Druski and his production company, 4LIFERS Entertainment, have several original projects planned. Netflix is also licensing Coulda Been Love, Coulda Been Daddy, and Coulda Been Records Auditions.
Deal follows company changes
The announcement came after Netflix’s recent earnings report, during which the company told investors not to worry despite users watching less. Netflix recently laid off around 1,000 employees.
