Deadspin NFL injury roundup: Ravens in QB peril as Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley hurt

Ravens lose both quarterbacks
Jackson’s right hand struck the wrist of Buffalo pass rusher Greg Rousseau as he threw an incomplete pass on Baltimore’s first offensive play. His thumb was out of place, and he soon left for the locker room; he later watched from the sideline with a splint.
The injury came after Jackson had missed three games with a left ankle problem. Minter said Jackson could potentially miss the rest of the season, but added that the team would see how the situation develops.
Huntley also exited against Buffalo, with a right toe injury. Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano took over, playing through a right foot injury as the Ravens fell to 4-4 and prepared for Thursday’s home game against Jacksonville.
Injuries hit Detroit
Detroit won 19-15, but several other players were hurt. Jimmy Rolder had a hamstring injury, while Cade Mays, D.J. Wonnum, Brian Branch, D.J. Reed and Jacob Saylors also left with injuries.
Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray had hamstring tightness late in the fourth quarter, coach Kevin O’Connell said. Murray stayed in the game, Minnesota’s first loss of the season.
Cardinals and Cowboys sidelined
Arizona beat Dallas 33-30 in overtime, but running back Jeremiyah Love left in the first quarter after apparently aggravating a right ankle injury. He had just returned from missing two games and was the No. 3 pick in the 2026 draft.
Cardinals receiver Michael Wilson said he was playing with two broken ribs. He caught eight passes for 111 yards and a late fourth-quarter touchdown that tied the game; running back Bam Knight and receiver Kendrick Bourne also exited with injuries.
Dallas lost three starters. Safety Caleb Downs entered concussion protocol, tight end Jake Ferguson hurt an ankle, and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. left with an ankle problem he had been playing through.
Rams lose cornerbacks
The Los Angeles Rams won 24-9 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Starting cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson both left the game with injuries.
