Terrified by nudity in roles, Mckenna Grace says her boundaries may change

Grace’s boundaries on screen
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Grace said she avoids nudity and “very hypersexual things.” She added that she respects performers who take on such work, but said it feels terrifying to her. Grace noted that her choices are not limited to wholesome parts: in Scream 7, her character is gutted by Ghostface. She also said she hopes to play a Disney princess someday.
More say in her roles
Grace began acting as a child, after landing her first commercial at age five. Her early credits include The Young and the Restless, Gifted, I, Tonya and The Haunting of Hill House.
She said the shift from child to adult performer has brought “a bit more ownership” over her roles. Grace enjoys giving opinions, meeting with producers and pitching ideas for characters.
A major franchise role
Grace plays Maysilee Donner in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which is set for global release on Nov. 20. She has also appeared in Regretting You, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 and Scream 7.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the film’s U.K. premiere in October, Grace called taking on Maysilee “daunting and insane.” She said a mostly positive response to her casting helped ease some of the pressure, though she wondered whether she could do justice to a character she cared deeply about.
