Ibanez Dragon Ball Z Full Guitar Lineup: Preorder Details and 2027 Plans
The flagship RG model
The Japan-made RG features an orange design inspired by Son Goku’s gi. Its specifications include a thin Wizard maple neck, an Edge double-locking tremolo, high-output Ibanez humbuckers and custom inlays.
Each guitar comes with a hard-shell flight case, a DBZ strap, a custom pick tin and a numbered certificate of authenticity. The announcement does not give a price or a specific release date beyond the planned 2027 worldwide rollout.
Character-themed instruments
The lineup also includes more accessible solid-body electric guitars decorated with Son Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta graphics. They have slim necks and T106 tremolo bridges. A matching four-string electric bass marks Vegeta’s Super Saiyan awakening. The collection’s instrument options also include a ukulele featuring Goku and Gohan artwork, plus a piccolo guitar bearing a kanji symbol.
Pedal and other accessories
Ibanez has reworked its green Tube Screamer overdrive pedal with Dragon Ball Z lettering and themed knobs. The pedal retains the mid-boost overdrive associated with the model. Other items include a branded soft gig bag, guitar straps, a cleaning cloth and a plectrum set. The complete collection is available to view on the Ibanez and Dragon Ball Z collaboration site, but preorder details are not provided.
