Passenger reported Huntingdon train attacker saying “I am the baddest,” trial hears

Report from the previous night

A passenger contacted British Transport Police after seeing a man behaving erratically on a train the night before the alleged attack, Cambridge Crown Court heard. Jurors were told the man said, “I am the baddest, no-one is as bad as me.” The passenger described him pacing through the carriages and making remarks including “boom and power” and “I haven’t got it”, while also referring to the devil. Officers went to Stevenage station, but the man got onto the tracks and police later decided it was unsafe to pursue him.
