Claudia Schiffer wears a necklace as a top in Chloé campaign at 56

A striking campaign image
In one photograph, Schiffer reclines on the ground in dark-wash jeans, with no top. Her long blond hair falls across her chest beneath a gold statement necklace.
Kamali’s creative vision
Creative director Chemena Kamali said the shoot explored a nocturnal expression of the Chloé woman, with a spontaneous and sensual cinematic feel. She described the mood as somewhat mysterious.
Kamali said Schiffer’s natural presence, distinctive character and enduring appeal brought that vision to life and gave the campaign intimacy. She had also cast Schiffer in Chloé’s Chloé à la Plage summer campaign last year.
A long connection to Chloé
Schiffer first walked for Chloé in 1991, when Martine Sitbon was creative director. She continued appearing on the runway through the 1990s, including after Karl Lagerfeld returned to lead the house.
In a British Vogue interview, Schiffer credited Lagerfeld with transforming her from a shy German teenager into a supermodel. She largely stepped away from the catwalk in 2002, later making an appearance at Versace’s spring 2018 show honoring Gianni Versace.
Work beyond the runway
Schiffer continued to appear in fashion campaigns, including for Balenciaga and Versace last year. She also attended Chloé’s spring 2027 runway show in Paris last month, wearing a white suit, lace top and chunky stone necklace. She wore Chloé for her 55th birthday celebration in Greece last year, choosing a plunging white swimsuit.
