10 Most Impressive Clone Wars Feats That Show Anakin Skywalker at His Best

A lifesaving choice aboard ship

When Tal Merrik attempted to assassinate Satine Kryze, Anakin intervened and killed him. Satine’s pacifism and Obi-Wan Kenobi’s feelings for her had kept them from taking that action themselves.

Anakin’s intervention prevented further danger aboard the ship and kept Satine alive. He also caught a detonator in midair. Her survival allowed events leading toward the Siege of Mandalore to unfold.

The Citadel rescue mission

Anakin took a leading role in the operation to reach Jedi Master Even Piell at the Citadel. He devised a way past life scanners using carbonite freezing, climbed an armed wall, avoided traps and adapted when the plan encountered setbacks.

The mission showcased his physical ability and tactical thinking. It also secured Tarkin’s freedom, a result that would matter in later Star Wars stories.

Clearing Ahsoka’s name

After Ahsoka was framed for bombing the Jedi Temple, Anakin investigated while she worked to clear her name. He tracked down Asajj Ventress, defeated her in combat and obtained information from her.

Anakin then saw through Barriss Offee’s lies and subdued her in a duel, despite Barriss having two lightsabers and the element of surprise. His investigation exposed her treason and helped clear Ahsoka’s name.

Training Onderon’s rebels

Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka helped train Onderon rebels in guerrilla warfare against Separatist forces. The planet remained a battleground during the war, but the training also shaped Saw Gerrera’s later path. The account describes this contribution as less important to the war itself, but among Anakin’s most consequential actions across the series.
