A sharp-fingered character
West posted a selfie video and several images to her Instagram Story on Thursday night. The film’s music played as she showed off a black leather outfit and blades attached to her hand.
Her hair was styled in a loose updo, and prosthetic scars covered her face. Later images showed a miniskirt and platform boots reaching her knees.

The Edward Scissorhands costume is one of several looks West has shared this season. The 13-year-old also portrayed Hatsune Miku, the virtual pop star, with oversized blue pigtails that reached toward her knees. Last week, she dressed as Natalie Nunn, wearing a long prosthetic chin and a chain reading “CEO Baddies.” Nunn then posted her own tribute to West, wearing long blue pigtails.
Kardashian joins in
Kim Kardashian also dressed as her daughter a few days before West shared the Edward Scissorhands look. The story describes West as a standout figure in the family’s Halloween costumes.
West’s latest transformation is inspired by the character played by Johnny Depp in the 1990 film. She was born after the movie’s release.
