Queen Mette-Marit’s Brother Is Sued by 60 Former Students of His Flight Academy

Students pursue legal action
The 60 former students are bringing their case against Høiby and Eriksson, Pilot Flight Academy’s CEO. Parat is assisting them as they pursue the claim. The students’ compensation demands have not been made public. The academy’s bankruptcy earlier this year preceded the lawsuit.
Parat lawyer explains Høiby claim
Parat lawyer Sigurd Kambestad told NRK that the union understands Høiby to have been the person making the decisions. The students’ case names both him and Eriksson. Høiby is a former pilot and aviation businessman. The lawsuit concerns his connection to the flight school.
Høiby rejects responsibility
Høiby denies wrongdoing in the matter. His lawyer, Kristoffer Aasebø, said there was no basis for suing his client. Aasebø told NRK that Høiby never served on the academy’s board and did not represent the company to its students. The claims against him remain disputed.
