Deadspin: Josh Pierson lands 2027 IndyCar ride with AJ Foyt Racing

A move to IndyCar
AJ Foyt Racing announced Tuesday that Pierson will join its IndyCar lineup in 2027 under a multiyear agreement. Pierson said competing in the series had been his dream for as long as he could remember.
Experience across series
Pierson has raced in local and international karting, junior formula competition, international sports cars and Indy NXT. At 20, he has collected wins and podium finishes in the World Endurance Championship, Asian Le Mans Series, IMSA and Indy NXT.

Team lineup and testing
Hauger will drive the No. 14 Chevrolet, representing Homes For Our Troops. Pierson is set to pilot the No. 4 car, with its sponsor still to be named.
A milestone season ahead
The team will mark the 50th anniversary of A.J. Foyt’s fourth Indianapolis 500 victory in 2027. Pierson said joining the organization meant a great deal to him and that he looked forward to his first NTT IndyCar Series start at St. Pete.
