Hide or reorder sections in Google Photos’ customizable Collections redesign as rollout reaches Android users

From grids to pinned cards
The previous Collections tab opened with a two-by-two grid. Favorites and Trash occupied the top row, while two other shortcuts varied according to usage. Below that were larger cards for Albums, On this device, People & pets, Wardrobe, Documents, Places, Stickers, and Moments. On Android, a list followed with Screenshots, Videos, Recently Added, Archive, and Locked.
Choose what appears first
The redesigned page begins with a section called Pinned. Its carousel shows Favorites, Screenshots, and Trash by default, but users can choose different cards or remove the section altogether.
Carousels for On this device, Albums, People & pets, Wardrobe, Places, and Documents come next. Each section can be hidden or moved to a different position, and “View all” opens its full grid or list.
